Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics is committed to quality healthcare. Our vision is to become the community's healthcare provider of choice by exceeding customer expectations. Several improvement plans have been put in place to help us achieve this:
- A 5.7 million dollar building project was completed in March of 2005. This included a new emergency department, physician clinic, retail pharmacy, eye clinic, medical imaging expansion and renovations to several other departments. The project has improved our services, upgraded our appearance and will help us remain competitive in the healthcare industry.
- A customer service initiative was implemented which holds staff accountable for providing excellent service. Along with this, an employee recognition program was developed to reward outstanding service by our staff.
- A formal process was put in place for receiving, investigating and resolving customer concerns. When staff are unable to immediately resolve an issue for a customer, they are to complete a “Documentation of Customer Concern” form. This form is also available our customers through this website. Once received, the form is forwarded to the appropriate administration staff who investigates the concern, initiates a corrective process, and follows up with the customer within one week. - Mailed surveys are conducted to obtain feedback from our customers on various services (i.e. emergency, clinic, inpatient, surgery, and outpatient). Feedback is also obtained through suggestion boxes located in patient lobbies/waiting areas.
- MMH&C is one of 100 Wisconsin hospitals voluntarily participating in the CheckPoint quality and safety initiative. Data is submitted and then shared among the participating hospitals regarding the quality and safety of their patient care. This allows MMH&C to compare ourselves to other hospitals of similar size which will help us in improving patient care at our facility.
