Visiting Hours
Visitors play an important role in supporting patients. General visiting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. However, we promote a family friendly environment with flexible visiting hours. Family and friends may visit when convenient or needed with respect to the patient’s needs. In special circumstances, arrangements can be made for visitors to stay with the patient. Please consult a nurse to determine if these arrangements can be made. To ensure that patients and staff are not exposed to contagious illnesses, we ask those who are ill to not visit patients and instead contact them by phone. Children are welcome to visit with adult supervision. Visitors inquiring about a patient or resident by name will be informed of the person’s room and/or phone number. Patients should inform staff if they do not want this information released. A sign will be placed on the patient’s door if they do not want visitors. Billing Questions
If you have questions about your bill or making a payment, please call our financial advisor at (608) 339-8366. Meditation Room
A meditation room is located off of the main hospital lobby, near the gift shop. Patients and visitors are encouraged to use the room for the purpose of prayer, meditation, visits with clergy, and private conversations between family and medical staff. It is available 24-hours a day. Clergy Services
We will attempt to contact clergy members of a patient’s choosing upon the request of the patient or their family during their stay in the hospital or emergency room. Gift Shop
A gift shop is located near the hospital’s main entrance and offers a variety of items including candy, cards, gifts and collectibles. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. It is closed on weekends and holidays. The gift shop is run entirely by volunteers of the Partners of MMH&C. Proceeds benefit the hospital. Cafeteria
The hospital’s cafeteria is located in the lower level. Visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria while it is open Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:30 p.m. and 5:00-6:00 p.m. Meal tickets must be purchased ahead of time at the hospital’s admitting/information desk and then redeemed at the cafeteria window. A meal ticket includes an entrée, salad, dessert and beverages. Visitors who do not wish to go to the cafeteria may order a guest tray to be delivered to the room of the patient they are visiting. Guest trays are available 7 days a week and must be ordered at the admitting/information desk by 11:30 a.m. for lunch or 5:15 p.m. for supper. Patient and visitor’s food allergies, religious preferences and therapeutic diets will be honored at the discretion of the dietary department. Vending Machines
Vending machines for snacks and beverages are located in the lower level by the dining area, and in the retail concourse (the hallway connecting the hospital and clinic lobbies). In addition, snacks may be purchased in the hospital’s gift shop and a soda machine is available in the emergency waiting room. Coffee is available in the lower level vending room 24-hours a day. Telephone
A public pay phone is located in the main hospital lobby. Phones are also provided in the hospital patient rooms for local calls or long distance calls with the use of your own calling card. Cellular phones should be used outside of the building as they may interfere with electronic equipment in the hospital. Smoking Policy
Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited inside all buildings, near entrances and on all grounds. The hospital’s medical staff has asserted that patients are not permitted to smoke. A smoking cessation program is available to staff, patients and community members who wish to quit smoking. Interpreter Services
The hospital maintains a list of volunteer interpreters. When needed, we will attempt to contact a volunteer to assist us in communicating with patients who are limited at speaking English. Lost and Found Please report any lost items by calling the hospital’s admitting/information desk at (608) 339-3331. ![]() |
